Registration Options

You can sign up to vote, update your details, or switch party affiliation either in person or online.

In-Person Registration:

  • Weston Town Hall (Registrar of Voters or Town Clerk’s Office), 56 Norfield Road, open 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles

  • Weston Public Library

  • Alternatively, fill out a Voter Registration Form and send it to: Registrar of Voters, Weston Town Hall, PO Box 1007, Weston, CT 06883

Online Registration:

After registering, double-check your status on the Connecticut Secretary of State’s website.

Election Day Registration

Missed the registration deadline? Republicans can still register and vote on election day at Weston Middle School, Room H5 (near the old gym). Park at the back and follow signs for Election Day Registration (EDR). To vote, you must be in line by 8:00 PM.

Municipal Election Details

Voting takes place at Weston Middle School Gym (rear entrance), from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. You must be in line by 8:00 PM to cast your vote; late arrivals will not be permitted.

Curbside Voting: If you’re at the polling location but can’t enter due to a temporary disability, you can request a ballot be brought to you. Check the Weston Registrars’ website for more details.

Confirm Your Voter Registration

Before requesting an absentee ballot, Republicans should ensure they are registered to vote. You can verify your registration status on the Connecticut Secretary of State’s website.

How to Request an Absentee Ballot

You can apply for an absentee ballot in one of the following ways:

  • Online through the Connecticut Secretary of State’s website.

  • In person at the Weston Town Clerk’s office, located at Weston Town Hall, 56 Norfield Road.

  • Via the Town of Weston’s official website.

Submit your application by:

  • Mailing it to the Weston Town Clerk, Weston Town Hall, PO Box 1007, Weston, CT 06883.

  • Delivering it in person to the Weston Town Clerk’s office.

  • Placing it in the Official Ballot Drop Box located in front of Weston Town Hall (Norfield Road side).

Note on Distribution: Absentee ballot applications can be downloaded for personal use, for immediate family members, or by a designated person. If you plan to distribute five or more applications to non-family members, you must register with the Weston Town Clerk and obtain forms directly from their office.

Casting Your Absentee Ballot

Once you receive your absentee ballot, complete it and return it by:

  • Dropping it in the Official Ballot Drop Box in front of Weston Town Hall (Norfield Road side).

  • Mailing or delivering it to the Weston Town Clerk at Weston Town Hall.

Important: Your completed ballot must be received by 8:00 PM on Election Day to be counted.

Switching to In-Person Voting

If you’ve applied for an absentee ballot but decide to vote in person, you cannot simply show up at the polls. You must visit the Registrar of Voters’ office at Weston Town Hall, surrender the absentee ballot you received, and sign an affidavit before being allowed to vote in person on Election Day.

Absentee Voting Timeline

To ensure your vote is counted, plan for the following steps:

  1. Submit your absentee ballot application to the Weston Town Clerk.

  2. The Town Clerk processes your application.

  3. The Town Clerk mails the absentee ballot to you.

  4. Complete the absentee ballot.

  5. Return the completed ballot by mail to the Weston Town Clerk or place it in the Official Ballot Drop Box in front of Weston Town Hall.

Allow sufficient time for each step to meet the Election Day deadline.
